Physical Clogging Characteristics of Labyrinth Emitters under Low-Quality (Sand-Laden Water) Irrigation

Drip irrigation technology has obvious advantages in solving the shortage of agricultural water. The demand for using low-quality water sources is becoming urgent. Research on physical blockage formation become main part emitter China. purpose this study to investigate characteristics emitters drip system with a source and provide some basis anti-clogging measures. Therefore, we configured different concentrations (1.8 g/L, 2.8 3.8 g/L) particle sizes (0–0.054 mm, 0.054–0.075 0.075–0.1 mm) carried out tests. holistic local occurrence distribution were compared under sand-laden irrigation, then structure element composition material analyzed. results show that clogging are related types, sediment content, size. higher concentration means single more likely be blocked completely, whole development short quick. However, at lower treatments, probability complete decreases, process uniform slow. position large flow channel (E1) appears head middle tape, internal usually occurs inlet. small size (E2 E3) concentrated end low-speed zone labyrinth such as inlet fence. accumulation formed by particles coupled precipitation aggregate reaction various chemical ions. Among them, mixing inclined form stable blocking skeleton structure.
